Pharmaceutical-Grade supplements are those held to the same rigorous standards as FDA regulated drugs. By USP standards, they must exceed 99% purity and not contain any fillers, binders, dyes, or inactive additives.

Did you know pharmaceutical grade is absorbed within 45 minutes?

Bioavailability involves how a drug is absorbed into the body. If a supplement is taken orally, the bioavailability decreases because other things affect the absorption. The bioavailability of over the counter products is an issue. Many multivitamins have a lot of different things in one pill.

 

Oftentimes these compacted pills are undigested and unabsorbed because they are packed so tightly. However pharmaceutical grade supplements have specific guidelines for bioavailability as they must be digested within 45 minutes to be deemed medical grade.

Pure Encapsulations has a rigorous testing policy: Our raw materials are tested for identity, potency, microbial contaminants, heavy metals (including mercury, arsenic, cadmium, and lead), 32 solvent residues, and allergens.
